Boston at night
After spending the week working in Boston (John), we finally had a chance to eat in downtown Boston. This was the view from our restaurant. Good view, great seafood.

Dinner Time
Normally when I post food pictures it is something kind of fancy. But this time it is just good old American grilled hot dogs. Delicious! Particularly with a little grilled pineapple for dessert.
To the Beach
Nothing beats a warm Saturday at a friend's lake place (well, St. Croix River, anyway). Thanks for the fun Rachel!

Odd this twisted form
A poem by Ruth Bell Graham:
Odd
this twisted form
should be
the work of
God.
God
Who makes,
without mistakes,
the happy norm,
the status quo,
the usual,
made me,
you know.
The Royal Palm
He made;
and, too,
the stunted pine.
With joy
I see the lovely shapes.
With pride
I live in mine.
No accident I am:
a Master Craftsman's plan.

Power Tools Make Good Friends
I can hardly believe it! We've made such great progress on the porch, well John and Wally have made the progress. I tasked myself with keeping everyone well-fed!
The John's red hat is a part of every home project.
I made delicious ribs for supper.
Candis, the premier tea expert, treated us to blueberry scones and tea in the afternoon. This is my kind of vacation!
